Description
Mission Accomplished
This is a giclée print of my oil painting of a blue tit in flight, heading back towards a tree with a sunflower seed in its beak. It’s the companion piece to Blue Tit in Flight, which shows the same bird on its way to the feeder — both painted from the same photography session in my Sheffield garden in summer 2025.
I spent several hours with my camera on a tripod, aimed at the flight path between a bush and the bird feeder, using burst mode to capture hundreds of frames. This was one of the moments that stood out — the bird heading home with its prize. Painted in oils on a 6×6 inch Ampersand Gessobord panel. The original painting has sold, but this print captures every detail of the piece.
