Fox Cub in Print
This print comes from my 2025 oil painting Pause — the second in a fox trio alongside Pounce and Protect. The photos all came from the same afternoon in Sheffield, when the vixen brought her cubs out into our neighbour’s garden and they played in the sun for the first time. Most of the shots I got that day were action shots, but this one caught a cub in a brief moment of rest, looking straight at me. It was our first time seeing fox cubs and that brief moment of connection stuck with me.
The original has sold, but this print captures every detail of the piece.
Print Details
This print is produced using fade-resistant pigment inks on Hahnemühle Pearl paper, a heavyweight archival paper with a subtle pearl lustre finish that brings out the colour and detail of the original painting. The print is designed to be framed — the 0.5 inch white border gives a clean edge and allows for standard framing without a separate mount if preferred.
